Pyramids

The pyramids were built over 4,500 years ago. The Egyptians built the Pyramids for their Queens. The pyramids have 8 sides instead of 4 and the 4 other sides are pushed in, but you can only see the 8 sides from a sky view. 138 Pyramids are said to be found in Egypt since 2008. The pyramids were built from 2,300,000 stone blocks. The first Giza pyramid project or known as the Great Pyramid of Giza Its the largest pyramid built and was began by Pharaoh Khufu in 2550 B.C. Pharaoh Khafre, his son built the second pyramid of Giza in 2520 B.C. But the third pyramid was built by Pharaoh Menkaure and was much smaller than the other two. The Egyptians that built the pyramids were skilled Egyptian workers that lived in a city nearby. The Egyptains were so advanced that scientist still aren't sure how the pyramids were built. In the tombs there is art of ancient farmers working on their fields, livestock, fishing, religious rituals, and burial practices. Most of the Pyramids are 200-500 feet tall. Several mystery shafts extend from the king's and queen's chambers. The kings chamber can be accessed through a 20 foot high Grand Gallery.
