Pictures

Find pictures on the Internet or from a flash drive and save to a new folder in your home drive
Convert .gif images to .jpeg using Preview - Go to File > Export and select jpeg under the Format pull-down menu

Import all pictures to iPhoto - File > Import to Library - select folder with your pictures - choose Import
create new album - put all pictures into the new album

Add all pictures to iMovie -

Select camera icon - select your new album and drag all pictures to the top

Crop, Ken Burns, effect, transitions, timing
Create a title and credit slides

Create soundtrack in GarageBand

Share > Send song to iTunes
Import song to iMovie

Export iMovie Project - Share > Export Using QuickTime - save in your home drive
