Photoshop Tips
- To save a photo with a trasparent backgound - Choose Save As and then select PNG from the Format menu
- To lighten a photo
- Open in Photoshop
- File > Open > select picture to be lightened
- Open the Layers tab
- Double-click to lock to unlock the background
- Right click on the unlocked layer > select Duplicate layer
- Click on the layer copy > from the pull-down menu choose Screen
- Adjust Opacity as needed
- Batch Processing
- OPen the files that you want to work on
- Chose Bath Processing from the File menu
- Choose Files to convert > select Open Files
- Conversion Options > select JPEG Max Quality
- Check convert Image Size box
- Change Resolution to 300 dpi
- Output Options > Destination > choose the correct folder
- To apply gradient fill to text:
Do one of the following:
- Select the Vertical or Horizontal Type Mask Tool to enter horizontal text
- Enter the type you want, and then in the options bar, click the Commit Text button to commit changes to the text.
- Choose Layer > Simplify Layer to convert the vector text to a bitmap image.
- Control-click (Windows) or Command-click (Mac OS) on the text layer in the Layers palette to select the text.
- Select the Gradient tool.
- In the options bar, click the desired gradient type (linear, radial, angular, reflected, or diamond).
- Choose a gradient fill from the Gradient Picker pop-up palette.
- Position the pointer on the text where you want to set the starting point of the gradient, and drag to define the ending point.
- To apply gradient fill to graphics:
- select a graphic
- unlock the background by double-clicking on the lock in the layers tab
- create a new layer
- select the gradient tool and choose a gradient to use
- draw where you want the gradient to be on the graphic
- on the layers tab, select Overlay from the pull-down menu
- Use the Opacity slider to adjust the amount of color
