Under Armour is an American Sports clothing and accessories company that was founded by Kevin Plank on 1996, in Baltimore, Maryland. The company is a supplier of sports wear and casual apparel It began offering footwear in 2006. It’s Global headquarters is also in Baltimore, Maryland.                                                 Did I tell you Kevin Plank was the founder of Under Armour. Well let me talk a little bit more about him. When he found Under Armour he was a 23 year old former special teams captain of the University of Maryland football team. He initially began the business in his grandmother’s basement in Washington D.C. He spent his time traveling up and down the East coast with nothing but apparel in the trunk of his car. But then he moved to Baltimore, Maryland. He became the coach of the football team of the University of Maryland. After every practice he got tired of that t-shirt that was soaked of sweat. So This inspired him to make something that was meant to be dry during the whole practice. After he graduated of the University of Maryland he made his first prototype of the shirt, which he gave to his Maryland teammates and friends who have gone off to play in the NFL. He soon protected the design creating a new t-shirt built from microfibers that wicked moisture and kept athletes cool, dry, and light. Under Armour became famous when the head quarterback of the Maryland team was on the front page of a newspaper wearing an Under Armour mock turtleneck, and everybody started noticing.
