Taylor Swift

            Hey Lions today I am going to talk about Taylor Swift. Taylor Allison Swift was born December 13, 1989 and her parents are Andrea and Scott Swift. She was raised in Pennsylvania but moved to Nashville to pursue a country music career. Before she became famous Taylor liked to go horseback riding and she later competed in horse shows. Taylor became interested in country music at the age of eleven because that’s what she thought was the easiest way to get famous. She got discovered by a record producer who was at a local talent show. One of Taylor’s biggest influences is Dolly Parton because she was an amazing example for her while she was young and even now. Taylor has been described as “America’s Sweetheart” and as a “Role Model” because she considers it her responsibility to be conscious of her influence on young fans. Taylor is a supporter of an arts education she has donated 10,000 dollars to the Horace Mann School of Deaf and Hard of Hearing in Massachusetts. Even though Taylor is a singer/songwriter she also has an acting career. Taylor has acted in CBS’s CSI TV show as a rebellious teenager.
          She has also taken on many commercials for cover girl cosmetics and she has also starred in the movie The Lorax.  Taylor’s fourth studio album red was released in October 2012. her album has already shot to number 1 on iTunes since its release at midnight’s release she said writing the album has challenged her like nothing had before. She describes it as an “Apprenticeship” which taught her to paint different colors. The album’s lead single “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together” became a smash hit worldwide and became number 1 on the U.S. hot 100 chart.
