Thanksgiving And Winter Break
By: Jacob

Hey Lions, how did your Thanksgiving break go?  What did you guys do?  What did you guys have to eat?  Did you have turkey, stuffing, ham, pie, mashed potatoes, yams, and cranberry sauce?  Well, I asked some students what they did for Thanksgiving break and here’s what they had to say.

1. Alex said; “During Thanksgiving break, I stayed home playing videogames and when Thanksgiving Day came, I ate Thanksgiving dinner with my family.”
2. Martin said; “During Thanksgiving break, I sat on the couch and waited for the FOOD.”

For my Thanksgiving break, my family and I went to the Yosemite National Park.  We were there for four days.  During those four days, we saw some waterfalls, went on a few hikes, went to a museum to learn about the history of the Yosemite Native Americans, and went to the Hetch Hetchy Dam- which supplies water to all of San Francisco.  The waterfalls we went to were; the Bridalveil Waterfall and the lower part of the Yosemite Falls.  On one of the nights driving back to our hotel, there was some fog that was low to the ground that looked pretty cool so we stopped to take some pictures then got back in our truck and about 1/2 a mile up the road we saw a wolf walking down the side of the street next to our truck!  Overall we had a great time and Yosemite is a pretty cool place to visit.

ALSO, as everyone knows WInter break is coming up in less than a month from now.  So, what do you guys plan on doing? Well... I asked some students what they were planning to do and here’s what they said.

1. Shawn said; “For winter break I plan on eating noodles and sleeping.”
2. David said; “For winter break I plan on going to my cousin’s house and eating some Mexican food then later opening our presents we got."

For my winter break, I plan on staying home celebrating Christmas with my family by getting a tree probably at Home Depot, decorating it, and opening presents we got for each other on Christmas morning.

Well... I hope all you guys have a happy Christmas and a New Year’s eve/day and I’ll see you back here in 2013!
