Hey lions..Welcome back from winter break, who knew that one prank call could have been so tragic?

Kate Middleton, or “ Princess Kate”,  is the Duchess of Cambridge. Kate Middleton is pregnant and has been getting treatment for her acute morning sickness at King Edward VII Hospital in London. Well on December 4th, 2012 Kate’s Nurse, Jacintha Saladanha, transferred a call to Kate’s room who she thought was The Queen and Prince Charles calling to see how Kate was doing but actually it was a prank call from two Australian radio DJs, Michael Christian and Mel Grieg. They got detailed information on how the Duchess was doing. Three days later the nurse committed suicide. She was found hanging in her nurses’ quarters. No one really knows why she took her life but they know it had to do with the prank call. The DJs are incredibly sorry for what they caused. These are some of the things they have to say about it.

Michael Christian says he's "gutted, shattered and heartbroken”, He also told an interviewer that "Prank calls are made every day on every radio station in every country around the world, and they have been for a long time, and no one could have imagined this to happen." Mel Grieg said "There's not a minute that goes by that we don't think about her family and what they must be going through, and the thought that we may have played a part in that is gut-wrenching."
Since the nurse’s death the DJs have been receiving death threats so they have been put into safe houses and been given 24 hour protection.
It’s sad that one phone call took an innocent life.
